drivers seat adjustment

i know the rear handle adjust the seatback forward or back, and the bar in front moves the entire seat forward or back. what does the handle in the middle do? it goes both up and you can push it down but i haven't been able to do anything with the seats, the manual says its for raising and lowering the seat but when i pull it up and try to lift the seat (from outside the car), it won't go up or down?

You're not pulling/ pushing it far enough. The lever almost acts like a ratcheting wrench. With each pull/ push, the seat moves up or down a little bit at a time. It's great for someone like me who has long legs but has a short upper body. *^_^*

rofl, i thought you just pull the lever up, then pull or push the seat up or down. didn't know it worked like a ratchet, thanks !
