Driver's Right Foot Comfort

I just picked up my 2010 Mazda 3 i Touring 5-speed Manual Trans. and am a little concerned about the discomfort for my right foot (the accomodation for the left foot seems great). I don't know if it is the angled floor or not, but I can't seem to get the foot in a comfortable spot. Is anyone else having this same issue?

I don't know if there is a floor mat out there that helps or not...

My foot is most comfortable when the pedal is all the way to the floor.

i would have to agree on a bit of disconfort. it seems the pedels are to close or the steering wheel is to far away to me.

I find it's best when my right leg is resting against the center console and I move my heel farther up so my foot is more upright. You can't really do it in traffic though since you need to be able to move it over to the brake as well, but once you get moving it seems to be a more comfortable spot.

My only complaint is how low the accelerator is compared to the brake. It makes it impossible for heel toe shifting and taking corners is a lot hard to break and rev match with a left foot heel toe.

As for the OP, I am 6'4" and it took me about a two weeks of adjusting and testing different positions for aggressive driving while comfortable riding. It is there, you just have to find the sweet spot. And get some Pumas. That should make your foot smile!

I noticed this as well, but figured I was just doing it wrong, particularly with Doc Martens airwalk thick-soled boots, heh.

I tend to lean my foot against the right side of the footwell, against the center island plastic, but it isn't ideal. Left foot winds up on the carpeted (?!) footrest to the left of the clutch pedal. I haven't been driving my mz3 long, though, and should probably try different seat positions. Not too many that feel comfortable with my 6'2" frame, I've tended to have it pretty close to full back and full down.

Im all the way down, one or two clicks from all the way back. About 15-20 degree angle in the back of chair. You can sit upright for fun, or slouch to cruise.
