Driver's Mirror Curved

It says in the manual the driver's side mirror should be flat,
does anyone else have some curving?

Nowhere near as pronounced as the passenger side, but definite
distortion that varies over the surface. As it's a new car, do
you think it would be covered and should I ask for a replacement glass?

[EDIT] Can I say that I'm totally thrilled with my CX-7, as a newbie to
the forum.

I too have noticed the same thing. The distortion seems to be more pronounced toward the inside edge of the mirror. I haven't brought it to the attention of my service department yet as I suspect that they would have to replace the entire mirror. Even if just the actual mirror part could be replaced, I really don't like the idea of having the door taken apart to fix it... past experience tells me things just won't be the same afterward, i.e. squeaks, rattles, etc.

what??!?!? the door doesn't have to be taken apart to remove the mirrors! and besides you can replace just the glass

If that's the case, then I'll get it fixed!! I've had to have this done some years ago on a previous vehicle (some type of Ford, which one I don't remember as I've had so many) and they had to remove the mirror in order to disassemble it which meant taking apart the interior portion of the door. Afterward, the door always had a rattle or squeak which would just drive me crazy.

the mirror doesn't have to be taken off the car to remove the glass, whoever that says it has to be done is an idiot

is it effecting your ability to use the mirror?

I only ask because, if it doesnt hamper the mirror's use, why bother replacing it?

OK, thanks for the replies. It's nothing I'm too worried over.

Monday I go in for Low RPM hesititation fix. Today I'm fitting a rear hatch rack, a "Graber".

We noticed that also, I talked to the dealer and looked at some other CX-7 but they all seem to have it.
I agree it is anoying and I haven't seen this on any other vehical. You would think that the drivers side mirror would be flat not distorted.
It isn't bad and you can sort of get used to it but still...
