Drive Shaft..........

A couple of weeks ago I did some tranny work. We couldn't get the damm drive shafts outa the damm hubs. We pulled the shafts from the tranny instead.

So we did our work to the car, then put everything back together. I was driving a couple days later then I heard it. When I accelerate from a dead stop the driver side shaft clicks just until I get moving, then it stops. So I looked under the hood and I noticed gobs of greese on the steering rack ect. I kept rolling the car to see if the boot was split. Nope. No cuts or anything. The shaft does NOT click any other time. Just under acceleration from a stop. Please give me some ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Rob :D

Sounds like the grease is leaking out from the clamps on the ends of the boots. The clicking almost would have to be the CV joint, or maybe the clamp hitting something.

When you look at the drive shaft it kinda looks like the boot has slid a little. I guess I gotta tear it down.
