Drag Tips

If you are trying to just go as fast as you can, try lowering front tire pressure down to 25-28 lb's, jack your rear tires up to 45Lbs and as the gentleman said earlier you want to practice slipping your clutch to the point of as little tire spin as possible (2500-3300 RPM) and speed shifting with the foot to the floor at 5500-5800 RPM. Pass the water and do a good burnout avoiding tire hop, If you don't have at least a good rear motor mount you will find you will cause the tires to hop and miss shifts as you learn to get the car to hook up. ( you may also break some motor mounts) Don't be disappointed in erratic ET's or 60 ' times, PRACTICE!
If you want to bracket race, you need to be consistent, you can set the tires the same but pass the water and do a short dry hop just causing the tires to spin a little slipping the clutch very little just to clean them off, when you get to the line, when the last yellow comes on let the clutch out just like you were driving a little aggressive on the street, with a little spinning , back off a little shifting to 2nd and speed shift at the same RPM point 3-5th. This should help you be consistent but slower and a lot more competitive.
