Drag Radials? Opinoins

I'm tired of going to the drag strip and having Hondas with cams and drag radials smoke me because i spend too much time trying to hook up. Any idea on some good size drag radials rims and tires. Nothing fancy, but just enough to get the job done.

Avoid the drag strip entirely since it lacks the necessity of driver skill and fun. Twisty bits FTW!(wrc)

Meh i know you're an autocrosser but both styles require skill whether you wan't to admit it or not :).

Oh yes they both require skill of course but it is the amount of which the skill matters. Drag racing skill can only increase time by a small margin while in an auto-x times can be increased by 10 even 20 seconds on a longer course based only on driver skill. (drive2)

Anyone can drive in a straight line.

I have been looking into some drag radials for the Mazda. There is not too much out there to choose from that will fit.

Nitto makes a 245/45-17 in thier original DR but I am not sure that will fit. BFG makes a 225/45-17 in thier G-force Drag radial line that would fit.
MT makes a 205/40-17, but that is way too narrow for me.
