ARRRGGGG, Just called the local all stainless exhaust place, and the jagoffs told me that I would have to get my damn car decomissioned for them to do it. Basically get the title closed on it, and make it an off road only car.

You are obviously talking to the wrong shop. There are ways around that...Find someone you can pay under the table..

Have 'em make you one with a cat in it. A good high flow cat will add very little backpressure to the system, and keep your car street legal.

sux to live were there are emission controls. in canada i dont have to worry a hole lot the only way is if they find a skinny cop (yeah right) that is willing to crawl under the car to look to see if it has a cat which mine will ( a high flow cat)

i had some local douchebags at a shop tell me that they would get fined $20k on the spot if they removed the 2 cats on the car($10k for each one). i just laughed and looked at the guy and told him, "thats odd, the place i had what was basically a straight pipe put on my turbo RX-7 never mentioned anything about getting fined and that thing threw flames because of it". the guy just looked at me like i was speaking german to him.focker!
