So i'm attempting the install of my CP-E downpipe and i'm having some trouble getting all the old stuff out. Anybody in the Palm Beach are willing to lend me a hand oir provide me with some assistance?
Well so far i was able to get my test pipe off and the bolts from the DP to the turbo off aswell. My next step is to take out the mounting bracket that holds the DP to the engine. Once i get that off i have to try and take out the DP. I really dont want to drop the alternator cause i dont feel comfortable doing that myself. So if there's anyone who isnt doing anything monday and can offer some help let me know.
So downpipe install was a failure i'm frustrated!!! I followed the instructions but could not get the freakin stock DP out no matter what i tried!!! So i gave up and decided to put everything back together and just have a shop install it for me. Well as im putting everything back together i'm tightening the bolt for the top engine mount and my dad's torque wrench doesnt click so i over torqued the freakin thing and broke the bolt for the engine mount. So i have no idea what to do now. I think i'm gonna try to take it to the dealership and see if i can have it replaced under warranty by giving them some BS on how it broke. I was also so tired from working on this for 2 days that i left out the test pipe i had and i'm running open downpipe. **** is this thing loud now. AAAHHH i'm so freakin pissed and i just felt like i had to vent!! I have no idea how some people were able to get this installed within 4-5 hours i think it's impossible. anyways i feel a little bit better now that i vented some...
i just had my dp installed yesterday. it took my tech 8 hours, 5 hours on one bolt. it was all worth it though, sounds AMAZING. o ya and turbo spools instantly straight pipes rock
Nothing yet. I'm waiting for my brother to help me out one of these days. He's a mechanic at nissan so one of these days were going to take it to the shop and try to get it installed
