Down pipe & cat eliminator Group Buy!

when will more of these be done or who do we contact to get one?

can't you 2 kiss and tickle eachothers browneyes or something and be done with it?

If you would like one of my pipes contact me off list @ SVTMATTY@BELLSOUTH.NET My pipe will be similar to the one previously shown only mine will be 2.25", aluminum piping, and not mandrel bent. after hearing from some people on here I've decided to line up a supplier for the mandrel bends, but I'm going to continue to use the auminum piping. Pricing is expected to be in the $125-$150 range. Shipping will start in less than 10 days. I need a serious head count first though. Any takers?

bigger is better. that and less kinks and bends to increase the flow of air is key. spend more and get higher quality bigger stuff(mandrel bent) and you'll be in business. i'll spend more for the bigger stuff without hesitation. thanks though

turbo, i have no problem with the aluminum but i need at least 3" so no offence to both of you but i cant use it.:D
sorry

Sorry Turbo Matty P, But im not into the shade tree tuner s***. No offence, but 2.25 is the same exact size piping we have now. I see no purpose to make the same excat pipe we already have, and no the ole butt dyno dont count. :D

May I suggest that you R%D your downpipe, with a wideband dyno, to show people that the $150 cost is better then the $205 for a 2.5 pipe, with proven dyno numbers. :D

Edit: Its not mandrell bent ? Its crushed bent ? Dood if its crushed bent, and you think it will give gains, you should have your ASE license revoked. Dear lord. (flame)

Let the flames begin. As i've said before MULTIPLE times...The power gained from this set-up is not from the 1 mandrel bend, it's from the loss of the cats. Also, as far as the 2.25" diameter is concerned, YES increasing the size of the pipe to 2.5" or 3" would help IF and only IF the ENTIRE system was made into a 2.5" or 3" set-up. Exhaust is just like intake, you may have a 70mm throttle body, but if your mass air flow meter is only 55mm, guess how much air is getting into your motor? I'm tired of trying to argue with you people. I'm going to offer this pipe to anyone interested, but **** trying to please you people. You obviously obtained all of your knowledge from back issues of Ricer Weekly. Do whatever they tell you, bigger is better. Keep thinking that. Good luck with your projects in the future I'll be sure not to support the growth of our grassroots market.

you do realize alot of DSM guys go with 2.5" exhausts right? and they make some pretty ****** impressive horsepower. i had a 3" dp on my TII into a 2.5" midpipe then to a 3" that widened to about 3.5-4" Apexi N1 catback. i did it in hopes to keep sound down a little and keep some backpreasure. worked well too. no complaints here

Well now that we know how you feel,I'll be the first to say...GO **** YOURSELF! (upyours)

I'm just still trying to figure out where you get off with your tude?(scratch)

Anyone else see a pattern here?

The 2.5" section of your exhaust was your only limiting factor. I'm sure a little more top end power could've been realized, but it would've been so minimal you'd probably not even notice any gains. I still feel that removing the cats will be the biggest gain to be had. We don't own race cars. We own stock-block 2.0's huffing a little extra boost. the rest of our exhaust is just fine for anything our STOCK block will be able to handle. However, that's just my opinion and apparently my PROFESSIONAL experience doesn't mean anything. On a side note my 1976 Pinto with 2.5L EFI turbo was running 277lb/ft @ wheels. I stepped up to a full 3" piping and lost almost 30lb/ft. Horsepower increased a good bit around 5000rpms, but the torque lost was very noticeable. But what do I know?

I get my "tude" (how lame) from the fact that anytime I express an opinion or idea I get shot down by someone who has little to no experience in the field. I have been member of at least a dozen car clubs and have never seen such a pathetic display of unorganized crap. I was just trying to help out some by lending some experience and advice, but you guys don't want it. So don't take it. Since the aftermarket is DONE with our cars I'll spend my time desining my own custom parts that will never meet up to your approval. Still funny how you know you won't like my parts, since you've never seen any of my work. I don't know why I thought I was dealing with mature people.

backpressure is evil. it should be avoided at ALL costs.
you want exhaust gas VELOCITY. not reversion;) i am aware of what the dsm guys do, i am running a full 3" exhaust including downpipe, cat and muffler .

Thats the way to go! If you're going to do something, do it right. If you're going to upgrade one section, upgrade all three. If you're only looking to interchange one part keep it continuous. Either way, do what you want to do.

 hmmm

Yeah, I wasn't giving you grief. I was just huffing off about the previous uprising against me. As for the second quote. I was pointing out how you made a FULL exhaust all the same size....a TRUE upgrade. Congrats on your car.
