Door treatment questions

I am applying raamat to my doors and wanted to know what most guys did with the inner door skin openings, seal it with plastic ? Buy alumin sheetmetal and screw it into place then apply deadining over it?
I have a 2002 protege and there are 4 holes that need this addressed.

I'd definately avoid the sheetmetal idea. That'd be addind a big surface to vibrate. Asfor what exactly you're asking, I'm not positive. But basically you just want to stretch your mat over the whole area, make sure that watever has to move still can move and such, but you want to jsut plain cover over the open areas (after you get some deadening on the outer skin of your door if you can) THis will essentially seal your door into a "box" a not very perfect one, and definatley nto the best sealed ever, but nonethe less your door speakers will be able to see this as more of a "chamber" now than before.

Beyond that, I HIGHLY recommend some form of synethetic carpet padding or other kind of "fluffy" material to absorb sound. made a HUGE difference with my car.
