Let me know what you guys think...here's some info...I have a black mica, going w/ a blue trim theme(calipers, engine dress, dome lighting, etc..)..DO NOT WANT A RICEY LOOK...want it nice and clean...BUT, that blue logo lit up at night would look pretty sweet.....I'm just not sure how ricey/cheap it'll look..b/c the all steel ones look nice and clean....PLEASE vote, and feel free to post comments...(by the way, the ones that light up also come w/ red lighting for those interested...)

I like #2 also. Whatever you do, avoid #3, IMHO anything with neon/lights looks ghetto/ricey.

it depends on your car. i havea silver so i think number two would look bad but any other color two would look great. but i like number 1 the best

number 3 is the best, it will compliment the upscale look and feel of the car.

Does anyone worry about the things coming off? I like the looks of #2, but the fact that they're only held on w/tape turns me off a little.

I'm not too worried about them coming off w/ the tape...b/c you can always glue them on, but I'm wondering how it will look ON the plastic ones....I like the 2's b/c they are tight...but I also like the 3's...only thing is that wiring those to the dome is gonna be a b****!!! I havent gotten them yet b/c I'm tryin gto see if someone will custom make the same #2's for me...as a REPLACEMENT part...if so I'm gonna spread the word....if not I'll try these out..bu tonly b/c they are $20bucks....we shall see!

why would they need to say "Axela"?? we live in america where its called the "mazda3". nobody outside of mazda3 owners would even know what axela is. (uhm)

That's quite the point, actually.

I have the JDM Axela badge on my 3, so with keeping the Axela theme, the side sills would been to be plain, or say axela on them to continue with it all.

Much like people badging the 6 as the Atenza, or Familia on the Protege5

I voted for #3 because I've seen cars with lite-up door sills and its awesome. However, wiring would be a b****, so I'd buy #2.

Well I appreciate everyones opinions....and if your going w/ the JDM theme then your absolutely right you should get axela sills....but for those of us who arent, mazda3 is fine...

Guys, I'm not sure what everyone thinks of these, looks like most like #2 as I do, and seems like most of you arent to thrilled about the 3M tape either..

That said I've been talking to someone in this forum who might be able to make these for us as REPLACEMENT sills, not ust taped over the plastic ones...however in order to begin on the project, he wants to see some interest...he's hoping for about 10people..(might be able to get away with 8 or 9, but need 10 to be sure)...we can change the design a little bit if neccessary, but that would dely the process....I wanted him to basically make the identical #2 sills as a direct replacement..I think this would be a great addition to our rides...and I cant foresee the price being much...If you are interested, PLEASE go to the "Market Place" area for the Mazda3 and go to the "GI ANYTHING YOU WANT" thread and post on there that you are interested in the custom door sills project....lets do it!

i agree the replacement ones would be nicer, and i was worried about mine just being taped on but ive had them on for a while now and i use my car alot (36,000 miles since march) and i havnt had any problems with them coming off or even starting to.

Well thats good news, b/c I just talked to the person that was going to custom make them as I explained below and they wouold be over $100, even w/ the GB...so thats out...so it seems #2 has won...I'm goin ggo for it...its only $30 so whatever..Thanks for all your input everyone...

i've had these before on my protege 5... the only reason i'm not getting them again is because of the TAPE. my back door one would always fall out of my car everytime i open it.. and the front one would stick out at one side... replacements would be awesome.. i had red LED, and it was only seen at night.. during the day time it was just chrome cus it was too sunny to see the light but definately.. i'd do the LED one again because it's way better looking on then off... anything else would be cheezy or ricey. if u dont wanna mess with the wiring (a pain in the a$$) go with $ 2... it won't stratch as much as the chrome would.
