Door Lock Actuator, Right?

Looks like a tab to release then pull up & out diagonally to remove. Look under body section of the manual then rear door trim removal to see pics.

(It may be a few days before I can work on this but I'll provide an update when I can.)

my drivers door will only unlock but not lock. Is this a actuator issue? I don't hear anything from the actuator when trying to lock it

Odd action but still, if all others working normally then what else you got to go with? The 40-50 bucks for the actuator from onlinemazdaparts.com is gonna be cheaper then having a dealer check it out even if that's not it. I don't see how it couldn't be it tho.

i12drivemyMP5 is correct, the goo is messy and with a little paint thinner will clean you right up....
Youngster2004, thanks for the photo, I did take it apart and the worm drive was broken, seem bad one could not rebuilt it yourself, with just a plastic piece, I tried for several hours at Lowes trying to rebuilt it with screws and such, with no success.
I did find a part for it from Autozone for around $46, have not try other sites.

OK, so I replaced the power lock actuator in the drivers side front door about a year and a half ago. Now the rear passenger side actuator went. Does anyone have a part number and a place where I can order one? Thanks.

If you go to online mazdaparts.com you'll find each one has different part number & 4 different prices too. They range from 38.xx to 54.xx for each one IIRC. Don't get the hundred dollar part, it's the whole mechanism with the rods & all. You only need the actuator itself.

Found a driver's side rear door actuator on ebay, $30 shipped.. it's on the way; I expect I'll need to do some surgery on it, pull out the worm gear and put it in the driver's side FRONT door actuator assembly.

I wonder if the seller has one for the passenger sider rear door. Do you have the seller's ID or a link to the part you purchased on eBay?
