Use the diapers in combioniation with an E-Collar. That way she can't get at the diaper.
Your doing pretty much all that you can. Dipers or a gated off room is about all you can do. You could aslo put here kenel on a spread out plastic drop cloth that you can pick up for a few bucks at a paint store.
By the way it should only be around $90 to spay the dog, which is probably going to be less then your cleaning bill . Neutering is typicly cheaper.

I am hoping that the dogs are not brother and sister and your possibly going to breed them?

no i think she bleeds for like 21 days every 6 months.... but i have tile in the kitchen and the grout is white.. and that stuff stains.. otherwise id do that lol.... shes just gonna have to stay in her cage.. but i still want to put something over her ass because i dont want it on the carpet when she shakes her body... (the cage is on wood floor, but there is carpet like a foot away from it... wierd i know... anyways like i said thanks.. and you guys were much more of a help than the rx7 and rx8 guys...

The blood should only be about 2 weeks, after that it will be a clear discharge.

I have had the same problem with my rotties, I just keep my b**** in her cage when she's inside...As well I have a white carpet fairly close to my hardwood floor, I just placed a piece of Plexi-glass I bought on the side of the cage, works like a charm.

^ you may laugh but they do make a couple forms of dog hormone controls it doesn't really stop them from being able to produce but helps to decrease the signs of heat. But there are risks and seems people just perfer to not use them.

Ohhh btw just a bit of Heloise advice reguarding blood stains.......Blood stains can be easily removed from all sorts of surfaces including carpet and clothing with Hydrogen Peroxide (the stuff you use to clean wounds not bleach hair). Learned that one from the nurses at my mom's dialysis clinic.

my dogs are brother and sister, but no way in hell am i going to breed them! i live in Texas not.... oh nevermind but no, im going to try to stud him out since he is healthy maybe just once or twice.. and then fix him, i dont want him to live his life without gettin laid!

You can buy the cones at just about any pet store, or a vet will have some on hand. For a boxer it maybe about 20-30 bucks for them. How many times did you try the diaper though? It may take her sometime to get use to, cause she'll also try to tear the cone off. So maybe if you haven't done the diapers enough she will get use to that. Also put it on her, but stay around her.Btw boxers are cute, my girlfriend has one.

i think im gonna have to go get a cone, and another diaper. i took the other one back. i didnt really try it on her that much maybe like 10 times in a matter of 15 minuites... she kept getting it off. i put it on my male dog (this was before she was in heat, he was mounting her) and the lil b**** took it off of him 3 times too! and yeah i love boxers, mine dont have the clipped ears either so they are MUCH cuter than most!!!

There is dog and kid cleaner for carpets that work well on blood. Just clean the spots when you see them. I have 3 girls that come into season- usually one after the other. She will only breed for 3-5 days and that is it. The boy will go nuts when she is fertle and ready to breed. Keep them apart unless you want a whoops! It is not unusual for a girl to come in season for the first time at 11 mo. Good luck! My male marks things in the house when the girls are in season- Brat!

Go hit up petsmart. They make special little diapers for dogs and pads. LOL. Our dog just went thru her cycle, so get use to it unless you are gonna get her fixed.


FYI - Female pads are cheaper than the ones at petsmart, may wanna check those out. lol

^ yeah thats the lil diaper i was talking about that i got... she is a smart lil b**** if she thinks something doesnt belong i can put it there a million times and she will 'fix' it everytime.... and i think im gonna ask my bf to watch the boy dog while my female is in heat... i dont want him spraying!
