Dog Carrier Size - CX5 Hatch Area

Looking to get a large pet carrier to put in the hatch area of the CX5.

Size of the carrier = 39 long x 26 wide x 30 high

I know the back seats will have to be dropped but just wondering if that will fit the roof height area?

I'd get the pet carrier and try it in the vehicle, if possible. you might be able to go a bit larger. The cargo area of the CX-5 struck me as a bit small for carrying dogs in, though. I don't think you would be unable to fit the one you described, however. I just measured from the center of the floor in the back to the top of the hatch opening (smallest space you must push crate through.) Got 33.25"

Yeah, the hatch and height of the carrier is the limit. That should fit, if a bit of an awkward load.

Depending on the type of cage you can break it down ( wire kind ) and fold it out in the vehicle. Had to do this for my Accord coupe.
