Does the MS3 2010 has flip key?

Just got the wife an '10 3 GT (White) with Tech Pkg., and the fob is slick except that it doesn't automatically lock and unlock the doors based on Proximity to the car. You have to lock the car door with the fob lock button, but you can unlock the door as long as the fob is on your person by pressing the little black button (it's called the request button) in the door handle.

Does anyone know what the 'hold' button on the fob is for, it would save me a trip through the OM.

Thanks in Advance.

Pressing the black button in the door handle should also lock the car. At least it does on the 2009 6, 2007 CX-7 and 2006 MS6.

I can say for sure that as you approach your locked vehicle with the key fob on your person, you can press the button on the door once to unlock the drivers door or twice to unlock all 4 doors. I am unsure about locking the doors with the press of a button.

iirc. 03-05 6 owners can't use the 06+ 6 flip keys becuase in between the 'facelift' the technology changed, and the flip key can't 'talk' to the 03-05 6's. so i'm assuming the 3's work the same way. however, i could be wrong too.
