I'm kind of interested in this kit, and wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

I'll pass on the BEGI, simply because the IC piping is too small.

wanna try sucking a lemon thru a straw? i believe their piping is only 2.25

have you looked at your turbo inlet?

im not planning to keep a pea shooter for a turbo. if you are planning to keep the stocker, by all mean its looks like a great and well designed unit and yes if you already have a CAI you can retain it.

ill let you know how the 3071 works out. :D

i myself am using a TMIC for the new turbo. its built to flow where I wanna be, so I'm happy. sleeper ftw.

I also like my sleeper setup, and the more research I do, there just doesn't seem to be a front mount solution that will adhere to my requirements. I really find it mind boggling that the corksport MAF housing is larger than stock. I wouldn't want to use something different unless I was able to tune it. it's really frustrating. Anyway, I think I am just going to keep my top mount. I wanted a front mount for the strip, but I guess I'll just bring a spray bottle with me. thanks for your help guys.

High quality product all around.....welds are super clean and it feels almost oem. Looks good in the grill but still allows flow into the radiator... not a humongous ricer core for our little stock turbo. Designed by a team that would seem to know intercoolers by the name of Bell.... I spoke at length with Corky(Bell) before pulling the trigger. I didnt understand 98% of the s*** he was saying but it was very convincing anyway..lol

2.25 piping... 17x9x3 core.... rated to flow around 360whp. I may end up replacing it if I go above that threshold but I dont foresee that happening until I rebuild the engine.

I'll have a great kit in the for sale section then.

I believe the begi to be entirely to small for paleriders needs and mine to boot. I think with a 300whp car you would be ok, but anything more I recommend the corksport or txs. Corksport has a really nice core. 24x6x3.75. Its decent

I didnt know that corksport used a larger than stock diameter MAF housing. how do you feel about that?

Corky said its fine up to 350whp, and Mark thinks it will be fine for my application. I am curious though.... my perceived power problems began not much longer after installing the thing.... along with cs dp, standback, and bov. I just didnt gain what i thought I should.

Car felt a lot faster but only 20 hp/ 25 trq with all that and an extra 2-3 psi.

Whats your thoughts on the 2.25 piping with the turbo Ive got coming. ATPs intercooler runs what piping? Thats what they have on the test mule. Im interested to see what their doing there.

Refer to what i said above, if your are going after market turbo you need to come as close to 3' piping as you can. Refer to my analogy earlier of sucking a lemon thru a straw. You are going to bottleneck that sweet BIG turbo you have coming...........and bad!

ATP's is 2.75 piping i believe or it might be 3 but i kno it isnt 2 1/4 for sure.

There is a big volumetric difference between 2.25 and 3 inches. Significantly increasing the volume of the intercooler will cause noticeable boost lag, since there is more air volume to pressurize. Until he gets a bigger turbo he may not get much of a performance gain at all. Besides, the engineers say it's good to 350 WHP. To get to that number you're going to need more than a bigger turbo if you want it to be streetable.

Thats not enough flow for me. You actually spoke to him! that is pretty cool.

Hmm we might need to prove out this theory

Well sure you rep a performance group! I hear he has a ton of knowledge in this area and it's nice to know you have access to his experience.
