Does anyone have Mazda3 Rims on there P5 ?

P205 45 R17's rub on full travel. When I get new tires, I'm going 40 series. The only time it rubbed was during super-hard driving (see 2009 Meet Video).

NICE! I can't wait to get these. Turbine, what suspension were you on to cause the rubbing?

Scratch - Were you still on the Tein S-techs in that pic?

My bad, it was rubbing on 215 45 R17's. Too tall. It rubbed the splash guard at about the 10 o'clock position on the right rear and opposite on the other side. The front was ok. This only happened when I went through a roller-coaster section of a super twisty road.

I just put new tires on. Falken Ziex 521's, great in the dry and great in the wet. I accidentally told them 205 40 R17 and they were way too small. P215 40 R17 was perfect. It is the same as the outer diameter of the original P195 50 R16's.

I'm using the stock springs, Tockigo HB's, and a 21.5mm AWR rear anti-roll bar. I didn't want to lower the car when I did the struts because I regularly carry loads and end up on an adventure that takes me off roads. She handles beautifully now, and even held her own hanging with the MS3's in the super twisty roads on the 2009 meet. Now I kinda want to do the Racing Beats, they only lower it by an inch or less and are 20% stiffer.

To you guys with the MZ3 5 spoke wheels, what tire size are you running?

I'm thinking 205/45/17.

BTW, do you have any other pictures of your car on those besides the one you posted? I saw one in your build thread but you weren't lowered.

Turbine, I'll probably have my MSP springs for sale after December so if you're going to the next all-state meet you could get them from me there.

Anyone know what size spacer you would need on the MZ3 wheels to be "truly" flush? The wheels are 17x6.5 +52.5mm offset.

I have heard NO...tuner lugs do not work on stock rims...they say aftermarket on them...I wanted to get some of the Kics R40 Neo Chrome ones, but heard everyone say it was a risk...

I wonder why people with the MSP wheels can pull it off then, unless they are different since they are made by Racing Hart.

^^^That is what I would think, but I don't have the answer to that, just what I was told by pretty much everyone when I was looking at the R40's...

I'm worrying that the 205/45/17 tires I ordered for my MZ3 wheels will look too large, should I be worried or will it look somewhat low profile?
