I'm not sure if this is the exact same hood but this one on EBAY looks simialr. On the picture of the underside of the hood it looks like there is a channel that would take the are to our stock intake location. This may not add much air to the filter area if you have an aftermarket FMIC because there's a huge opening where the old SMIC was, but for people who have gone with the P5 radiator or who have a regular protege, this may be a benifical design. No oppinion either way, just stating my observations.
I do believe that is the same ebay seller I got mine from. But I thought he had more feedback than that. I got mine in September of last year but this seller wasn't even a ebay member till October 07 but I know the guy I got it from was in Canada. And Tweaking, what about if you made the hole bigger?

i thought about making the hole bigger. then custimizing my SRI to where the filter sits under the inlet, and possibly make some sort of box around the filter.
