do u dislike ur mazdaspeed?

i'm not tryng to diss ne one but y do the majority of mazdaspeed owners hate thier car? Do alot of other ppl dislike our cars? i see ppl continuous bashing it. I like to think of our car as eye candy for ppl, cuz its so rare u ever see. like my friends and i will go crazy if we see a car on the street thts rare here in canada (ex. s14, mr2, sti, evo etc) i like my car to be also considered tht way for other ppl. Before i got my car, the first time a saw a msp when riding in my mom's van i was "wow, nice!" its a car actually tuned by mazdaspeed itself!.
I hate how ppl just judge it by its hp, so wht its 170 and not as fast in 1/4 mile? it can kill u in a race track ne day of the week! it has the same slalom time as the 911 turbo!
sorry for the rambling. I just love my car and hate how it feels when ppl the bash it all the time.

I'm with you. Seems like everyone is always complaining about something on/in their car. To me, it's great to look at, fun to drive, etc. I only see MSP owners complaining (for the most part) about things. It's a car. Have fun.

but i just wanna add, we do get respect from drifters! i went to a local drift meet and they do not like FF at all or maybe civics in general. I felt awkward cuz i was the only FF there but these guys quickly recongized it and knew wht it was capable of. Its a "touge special" out of the box, LSD and everything.

I had never seen an MSP until the day before I bought mine. I was driving home one day and a little grey car slowly rolled by me in the left lane. I noticed how the rims matched the paint and I've always been a fan of grey or silver cars. The kit got my attention, etc. Then I made sure to see what it was by reading the emblems when it passed. Mazdaspeed Protege. When I got home I got on the web and looked it up. When I saw all the things that came on it from the factory, including turbo, I was sold. I bought one the next day....

Since then, I have had hesitation problems, the rear ground-effect was falling off, the hubs are rusting badly, etc. I now have 4k miles on it. It's been pretty disappointing to say the least. Why wouldn't anyone complain or bash their brand new car when it runs like it needs a tune up? Everyone that I know that has seen my car says it is awesome and all that. But they haven't driven it either. Now I'm stuck with it until I can pay some on it or learn to deal with its inadequacies.

i haven't commented on the msp because i don't have one but, in my opinion all the problems i read about are only because of typical new engineering bugs. there are a few things the dealer can take care of but there still trying to work them out. i would hold on to the msp and sooner or later there will be true fixes available for your cars. my .02

I love my car, and i know it has it's problems but...............it's so rare, it's feels cool to not see any other cars like mine on the road. And it's really cool how people never seen or heard about the msp, and see there reactions about my car.

I have loved mine from day one.
I loved it new, I loved pre-flash at 12 PSI, and I love it all the more now post-flash back at 12PSI.
I have never really had a problem with it. True, I was hating the flash until I got some more dry weather driving time and saw what it really did but all in all it has been a great little car.
Oh yes after about 19k now I have the clunk but **** it I'll go get the bushings and when the new mount comes out I'll be getting it to.

I had a yellow P5 for a year before I got my MSP. I loved it! Despite some of the minor warranty related glitches, I still consider the MSP to be the best car I have ever owned! (keep in mind I have been buying new cars since 1987) It may not be perfect but it's still a hell of a car for the money. The rest will be worked out over time. Meanwhile........

(they're making race tracks that only consist of slaloms now? Huh, never knew that)
