if you dont want to waste money on all that s***, just use regular car wax, its basically the same idea as rainx and all those

Everything will suck when the windshield is all pitted out. that's really the issue, not so much what you use. $hitty windshield = badness

and the new interior anti-fog rain-x stuff works wonders if put on right, too.

Not really. The wax fills the pits in the glass making the problem less visable.

I see...I'll try to cake more stuff on then, and see if it helps. I've also noticed I need new wipers every 4-6 months as well, and I don't cheap out on them either.. hmmm

Just make sure you use a quality wax, perferably something synthetic and not Carnuba based.

I've noticed that, it does it at night too. But its on the inside, and I can't keep it clean no matter what I wash it with.

Ive got just over 17000 and my windshield is the pits, literally. i get these weird blob shaped smudges when the windshield is wet. if i didnt know better i'd have thought my windshield had been sand blasted then put in the path of a meteor storm.

(uhm) I haven't had a problem with mine. They clean up fine with just Windex, and after Rain-X is applied my visability is fine. Haven't noticed anything odd. I use a microcloth to clean the residue from the decomposing plastic interior. Maybe they switched suppliers at some point, or got some bad lots and nobody at the factory is checking supplier quality.

Interesting, mine really sucks. even using windex to clean and rain-x after. It's really noticable if the sun is on the horizon. I can barly see then cause there are so many little specs on it. I might have to try the wax trick.
