Just picked up my Mazda2 Sport and want to tint it and install a clear bra to protect the paint! Have any of you done this yourself and recommend any products? Also, how easy is it to do? I have never done either before but am very keen on learning to do it myself. Having to do them over would still save me money versus paying someone to do them. Any tricks of the trade?

Have you ever put an Invisible Shield on an iPod/iPhone/iPad/iAnthing? It's like that on crack. Personally I would never attempt it myself. Lamin-Xing my fog lights was enough of a hassle.

Not trying to be discouraging, just my 2 cents.

Precut clear bra's are a PITA to apply. Sadly enough, learning to lay clear vinyl is just as bad. My only suggestion for the clear bra would be to take your time, work from the middle out. As for tint? fairly straight forward, just be sure everything is clean before you start.

The clear film is tedious, but not terrible. I bought a roll of it on eBay back when I bought my 2 and did the leading edge of the hood as well as the door sills (to protect from shoe scrapes). There are a bunch of videos on YouTube that show the process. I wouldn't use precut pieces as they'd be more difficult to position properly. Installing tint is very similar to installing the clear film, but little imperfections are much more noticeable so I leave that to the pros.
