dissapointment in this community...

after that thread, someone call me an asshole...and we laughed and laughed...

since the thread was so clean..it felt weird...

conflicting? not at all...
sarcastic? 100%

thnks for pointing that out, you are the greatest

no, not at all....

maybe this forums don't belong to us...

it has helped some make money
others fix problems
and most learn about stuff that otherwise they would never know

i don't want this going down the toilet...people tend to get tired of stuff like this
newbies get scared of asking basic questions being afraid of the "bullies" laughing at them for asking...."does a t3/t4 turbo would give me 500HP?" and such quetsions that for us, who had been around cars long enough to know what knock and pinging is, seem like stupid questions...

I do catch myself thinking "wtf,if he serious",but I try to add positive info to disscusions,or stay out of them.

.........but,I don't consider saying "search" as being bully.
I happen to also ride BMX bikes,so I am on some forums in that subject, and if there people were softer to the newbs there, then we would have 3-10 questions a day about can I run a 28-16 gear ratio?
all they would need to do is search,or look in the NEWB section and they would know what correct ratios are.

It's not to much to ask people to pay attention, and read more.most anyhting you could ask,is already on this forum.

i have a suggestion...we can gather info on basic questions, regardless of the car, and make stickies...
it has worked with the how to forums...i think people redirec their searches to the how-to forums before asking how something is done...
i do think is lazyness when i know somehting is in the how-to forums and they just don't read it
hence, why i have some links to some how-tos of my own in my sig...i bet those 3 how-tos won't be as questioned by newbies as before....that's just my 2 cents

not a bad suggestion.

I also think MODs should have links to stickies, and thread of importance in their sigs.

I think this is a good start. There is already some stuff in the MSP section that was started long ago, but never actually finished or updated. Do you know what I am referring to? If not, I'll track down a link. Would you mind contributing and adding on to that guide for MSP owners?

You'll of course be given full credit for what you write up. Doing something like this is also an excellent gesture if you have intentions of becoming a moderator in the future.

PM me if you want to talk about this!
