Direct-replacement MSP exhaust manifolds are HERE!

One question,what the hell is that little piece of pipe between the 1-2 runners?

It just looks kinda out of place to me.

Thats what I was thinking but,If that's what it is why would only those two have the support and not the others?

Then I was thinking it may be a guide for the o2 wires but exhaust mani's get very,very hot so that doesn't make much sense to me either.

Hopefully the manifold will be strong enough on it's own to support the weight of the Turbo/DP....

well considering the stock one wasn't made to be strong enough for that..

the brace on the stock j-pipe was important after all I don't have one though, silly corksport downpipe.

Werd my stock mani is fine after 4 years an 41K hard miles and about 15K with the CS Full Exhaust (No Silly bracket here either)....Who know's why mine isn't cracked. Maybe I just have a wednesday car....


Look before anyone jump's all over my s*** I'm not putting this manifold down in any way.If you look at the list I would like to buy one myself.

I just thought it looked funny to me and noone had brought that up yet so,I thought I'd throw that out there...

OMFG. I'm not livin on fat pockets by any means, but this seems like a pretty good deal. Gotta see some definite improvements over the stocker. Start a better paying job in a few weeks anyway.

Looks good! My stock mani is not toasted, but it sho is ugly. Not too worried about hp gains (although, gains would be nice), as long as there are no significant losses. Oh, and it has to work with a gt28rs...if so, add me to the list.

there shouldnt be any reason that this shouldnt fit...judging by the pictures the intercooler piping with clear the manifold no problem. I am running the perrin so i will know for sure once i get one. My one and only grip about this manifold is the length of the far left runner (cyl 4 i believe) is not nearly the same length as the other runners...but beggers cant be choosers.

From what I know when I replaced my cracked stock manny for a non-cracked stock manny .. if you look at this picture and number the runners 1 - 4 from left to right ..

.. the EGR pipe hooks into the little threaded pipe on runner 4, the O2 sensor plugs into the threaded hole in runner 2, and I really have no idea what that little piece of metal is between runners 1 and 2. I guess I'll go with everyone else's theory -- a brace?

And here's an idea. If you guys want, let me know whatever questions you have, and I can put them all together and ask Protephile. So far we have .. let's see ..
- Is this a single-run production for the GB only, or will production continue afterwards for a higher price?
- Is the manifold going to be strong enough to support the turbo and exhaust on it's own without a brace?
- What is the piece of metal between runners 1 and 2?

Any others questions people wanna know?
