Did they offer Galaxy Gray Mica in 2009?

First, Hello!

I'm looking to purchase a CX-9 after driving it this past weekend. It wasn't even on our radar but the dealership we were at was split between Volvo and Mazda, the sales guy suggested we check it out, and we were sold.

My question is that there's a 2009 Touring AWD on the lot in Galazy Gray Mica. I can't find any reference to that color being offered on 09 models. Should I be leery or am I just lucky (personally, I really like the color).

It must be a 2008. Does it have the DVD Navigation?

There was actually 2.
Touring AWD w/ Bose/Moonroof package
Sport AWD w/ some minor options

The drivers door jamb sticker will tell you the model year.

Beyond that, if it has the NAV, and the DVD drive is in the back, it's not a 2009. Also, the 2009s have a trip computer that displays the DIS where the clock is normally.

They think they've located my first choice (White / Black leather) so I'll check out the door jamb when I'm back there.

It would be pretty interesting if it was actually an '09

Not possible at all. You're not going to find an '09 Galaxy Grey, these are most certainly '08's.

I've NEVER seen a vehicle manufacturer offer a discontinued color simply because they had some of the paint color left over, even in the 15 years I worked for one. The notion is ludicrous.

If such a vehicle exists, please post the S/N and the dealer whose lot the car is on. I don't have a problem being proven wrong.

There is no Galaxy grey for Canada on 2009 either. It's impossible for there to be one, there isn't even a model code for it. The dealer could not have ordered one.

Umm you will notice the BOLD 'possible'. I was not stating anything as fact, and don't believe there are and GG 2009s.

I personally think his dealer is pulling a fast one on the model year to overprice the car.
