Did Mazda copy BMW's wheels?

I saw something interesting this morning on my way to work. An e46 325i passed me with these wheels on and I thought they look a lot like the CX-7 and new Mazda3 wheels:

many wheels use that same exact design. why couldn't mazda just use the concept wheels?

This design is actually quite common, nothing new...
