I think if you are into body building or sports it's worth watching, I was really anti-steroid and this movie made me think I mean seriously it makes me understand that s*** I've been hearing from tv, people isn't really true. It's all bulls*** I mean this whole world is ran by bulls***......Politics=bulls***.

I might as well make my own lil country on a island somewhere!

Did anyone else see it?

I haven't seen the movie but im pretty big into weightlifting. Ive been doing it for 3 years and ive read so many books / articles about everything under the sun. In regards to weightlifting everything is a matter of perspective and ones personal goals. Im pretty firmly against steroids and as a matter of fact pretty much most muscle gain supplements. Protein powder is the only thing I use. If you plan to bulk past 250 and basically get huge then I guess steroids are okay. Im sure the movie targeted all the roid bashers saying the horrible things they do to your body are not true. Not all steroids have such harmful effects, especially after all the research put into them. What angers me is when people cheat by using these supplements, and yes it is cheating when others dont use them, and say they are clean. They have contests for peole roided up and natural ones. I don't understand why people use steroids. It looks unatural. When I walk into the gym its so easy to spot the unatural people maybe they lose this perception when they roid up. I just finished my cutting phase at 5 10 170 pounds. I love the way I look and its possible with your own effort. Took me 2 years on hard work but I made it. Let me know what the movie said the benifits of using steroids are. Personally, and i know most agree, being obscenly large is nasty :(. I guess people will always look for that easy way out. Even with steroids however you must still train hard, you just get unnatural gains. I may go and rent this movie.

hmm yeah it kinda looks interesting. I lift every morning (weekdays) but I imagine my goals are different than most. I lift and I run marathons, so basicly all the cardio I do limits the amount of muscle groth I can achieve. Because of that I lift for definition and not size. I try and offset that with some whey and an amino acid supplement, but I have never even considered using steroids.

I know exactly what you mean about knowing the guys who are juicing vs. non-juicing, you can see it in their muscle definition and proportions. It just looks unnatural. Two of my friends at the gym are amateur body builders and they do it all natural. I'm sure they worked much harder to get where they are than someone who took steroids, and for that reason it is much more gratifying and I think thats the only way to go.

Agree with you 100% Jbiird. Today I was in the gym and I saw a huge guy who was working out light with high reps (not sure if he was cutting). Guy was ripped at around 250'ish. Tall too. Not only did it look so unnatural but his legs were so small it was so funny. I could probably wrap my thumb and middle finger around the middle of his calf. Some people genetically have small calves but there is no way you can get that big and cut without working out legs :(.

I know a bunch of people here in this YMCA and a few bodybuilder trainers. Im good friends with them but they compete in "natural" competitions. They use hydroxycut and creatine however and im sure a bunch of other stuff. Fat loss suplements should be banned fron natural competitions. The results that some people get from that are unbelievable. Friend of mine is an endomorph meaning a naturally big guy. He went from about 16% bodyfat to around 6-7% doing VERY little cardio. I eat super clean / well and I do cardio like a maniac (i love it) and im at 12% bodyfat. Granted I eat like crazy. 5K calories a day just to keep my weight :)

i'm going to pump you up

I enjoyed it. I thought it was more balanced than I had expected. I had thought it would be either pro or con 'roids, but was happy with how even it treated the issue.
