i just got thru with my second tank. i got about 375 miles before i filled it back up again.

im wondering what everyone else is getting...
i thought everyone should be having no problems with reaching the 400 mile per tank mark.

i know theres a topic about gas mileage already. but i think this is a better and more accurate way to make comparisons. cuz theres more room for human error for calculating MPGs.. :)

Well I never really run the tank all the way down. With most cars you have 50-65 miles you can go once the gas light comes on. But I have not tested this on the MP5. But if you figure in that mileage then the milage on a full tank does increase quite a bit

well i just realized theres a better way to measure our gas mileage. and since most people down run the tanks all the way down, its gonna be hard to make comparisons this way.

MODERATOR please close this topic!!! i tried to delete it but i cant! thanks!!!!

I ran 417 miles on one tank. I only had .3 gallons left according to how much it took to fill it up. :) The low fuel light is pretty accurate though. I went ~60 miles after it came on.

that is something I checked what I first got my car....exactly how much gas do you have when the light comes on....on MY car....I have two gallons left.....

I regularly get 375 miles between fillups...but then I am only putting a little over 12 gallons when I fill up at this point too.

I have been saying this for months, but something is wrong with my car. I get between 260-290 depending on how I drive, and I have really tried for good mileage and still get crap. I average about 22mpg no matter how I drive. Whatever I have decided to just live with it.

don't know how long you have had your car...but the additives some northern states put into their "winter gas" can and will effect your gas mileage......so if you have only had your car since the fall or winter....just wait till this spring and all that winter gas is purged from the stations....you may see an increase then. only time will tell.

i got it close to the completely empty line then i filled up my tank. It filled up at 12.385 gallons. So yah, theres about 2-2.5 gallons left when the light shows up.

that was only my 3rd tank i filled up. Now im ready to accurately measure the MPGs
