thats how they look now btw!!

leave them as is. You can't have everything matching. If you start adding a bit of polished or chrome stuff inside the car it will look like real class. For example get yourself some DaveB polished rings to go with the mats or a chrome/polished shift knob. You understand what I'm trying to say, you need a third colour/shade.

3rd color is going to be carbon fiber.... the 5th piece goes on the footrest pad in the drivers seat!!
i was trying to stay away from crome as much as possible that is why i am going to either paint or pouder coat them i think

Carbon fiber will look great, chrome was just an example cause I'm using it with black and red. What if you buy a CF sheet and cover the plates in CF that would be really different however you would only be able to use them for shows then. Great job so far though.

well here is how they turned out for anybody that was wondering!!

i put the decal on their to tie the inside and outside together more plus to break up the black!!

Looks nice. Whats the thing sticking out of your air conditioner vents?

ogew air freshners. and below that the knob is the phoenix gold bass controller!!

careful though, i learned in fast and the furious is that if you drive to fast they can fall out under the car.

Painting maybe a option to look for in the future.
I've had my mats for little over a year now of constant use and they start to get marked up from the constant rocks etc. They still shine, but up close you can see the scratches.

The one thing I like about them being chromed is that they reflect the Neons under my dash quite nicely.

Maybe also outline the mats with color material matching your interior blue...Was something I planned on doing.

those look way nicer than i wouldve thought theyd look black. i was going for the raised diamonds blue and the rest black. that would look awesome, but it would be alot of work taping off each diamond=). so what kinda paint did you use? does it chip off, or is it pretty sturdy? btw, your car looks bad ass. im not usually into the blue accent. most of the time it looks cheap, but now i see why you won at hin. your s**** tight.

i just used krylon primer and a high gloss paint!!! i do not use the front ones for anything except for shows!! the back ones and the foot rest for the clutch are always their so i do not know how they will honestly hold up. the foot rest shows no sign of wear which i do use everyday! plus the paint is a high gloss with alot of clear so my neons reflect alot still!!!!!
thanks for all the compliments!!

Thats cool.
I keep mine in there all the time, and the back ones are still perfect since no one rarely sits back there. The fronts are still fine just take a hour of buffing to get back to new condition...maybe I should wipe my feet before getting in :)

Might have to look into doing some sort of paint job on them in the future...hmmmmm
