Diamon-Fusion Windshield Protection

Is anyone familiar with Diamon-Fusion Windshield Protection? Apparently, unlike traditional spray-on/stick on coatings, it fuses with glass at the molecular level to make the windshield both impact and scratch resistent, and also extremely water repellent.

No doubt, with the rain sensor, the Mazda3 windshield would be expensive to replace. And, I've experienced wind noise after replacing windshields in other vehicles. So, anything that might delay this eventuality might be worth the expense.

I'd appreciate any opinions on whether or not this is a worthwhile product?

Insurance = $0 windshield replacement, no? That's how mine was. Yeah, it's "Pilkington" brand glass instead of Nippon brand, but oh well.

I haven't heard of that though, it sounds interesting but maybe a little gimmicky. If it is so good why don't all windshields already have it, you know?

that and why isn't it covering all of my car's paint?

never heard of it... glass is a pretty inert material would be an interesting read as to how they got it to bond at the molecular level...
