Finally got my lights and installed them!

I'm very happy with the results. The lens of the new tail lights is a much darker red than OEM, which makes for a sexy look. And the JDM-style turn/reverse light relocation looks devious! My car looks angry now.

Turn signal and reverse lights are Stage IIs from Diode Dynamics. I spliced in a resistor on each turn signal to slow down the flashing to normal. Everything now works as it should, and looks great doing it!

Only downside to this setup is how much it cost me. We're talking about $600+ here. The results are worth it, though.

I know that the Spec-D Tuning taillights don't have a version in red (just black, chrome, and smoked), but other than that is there really a difference? Is getting a red version really worth the extra $400?

For me, personally, I'd get the red version too because it looks OEM. I like to have that factory, but better-than-factory clean look. This hits the nail on the head for me.

Scorpio, when you get the time, snap a few more pics of the car with the lights on, from some positions more like the first three photos you posted. Love the look!

You actually can get the Spec-D lights in red, they're just a little hard to find.

The Depo lights are a little more OEM-styled than the Spec-D ones, which is why I got them. They do cost more, but a lot of my expenses came from sources other than the tail lights themselves. LED turn and reverse bulbs + resistors were about $150, shipping for the tail lights was $80, and customs duties were another $80. It all adds up rather quick.
