deleted the last resinator on my lunch break

oh s*** youre a middletown boy eh? I went to U of Delaware for my BA. I had a couple of friends that lived out in middletown.

what you know bout hellaware dude this place blows some major donkey d@&k the only thing good about it here is that im 1 1/2 from the beach and right is prime time for all the ladies.....(upbum) ya know what im sayin...i usually head down to dewey or ocean city,md..but over all god the place sucks! thats awsome man well congrats on the BA...blue hens in the house...lol

Im thinking the guys at the muffler shop are not going to remove all the CATs on his car,It is not legal to do so.If they did do something like that Im sure they would let the owner know they just removed all of the CAts on his car and his cel light should come on within minutes.They will remove resonators and mufflers without a problem.
Im betting that he is right about our car having 3 resonators because he has no reason to lie about that.Im at work so Im not going to go look under my car but I think I will have time tomorrow to do so.

Yeah thats what it looks like from Koshs pictures...from what I can make out anyways. The one thing I noticed was a muffler that GSR kept telling me was non-existant....i dont think he gets that the muffler doesnt have to be mounted right at the back bumper and can be located further back. But there is an up close and personal shot of it in koshs gallery.

Crash, ... I'm not being an assh*le to you. Sorry you feel that way. This post is just ridiculous though. I mean, GSR tells all of us (this is a public forum) what he did to HIS car. You come on and say "no you didn't, I dont believe you..." You questioned what the man did to his own car by saying you dont think there are 2 cats and 3 resonators on the MS3. Again, if GSR was full of s***, dont you think all of the other MS3 owners would come on here and say so? No doubt your trying to learn about other cars, I do the same thing, but who is going to lie about what they physically removed from their OWN car? In a forum specifically for that particular car? Its not a "I raced a Z06 thread" for the love of God! Its a simple "I removed the damn resonators thread..!"

I'm not flaming you either, just dont see the point of your questioning GSR so persistently when what he was telling us isn't so FAR fetched that it deserved this nonsense. Anyone could go lay under their MS3 (some already have) and see if he is full of crap or not. I wouldn't really question it myself, you would have to be totally cracked out to lie about removing 3 resonators from your OWN car in a forum for THAT car no?

Why dont you tell us the MS3 doesn't have factory 18 inch wheels, a TPMS, a top mount intercooler, and a K04 turbo while your at it? Tell us you just "dont believe" that either and we'll go back outside and scratch our heads to see if WE are cracked out when we purchased the damn car.

Perhaps I'll say your MSP only came in a 2 door coupe. BUT you'll insist it only came in a 4 door sedan. Now I'll say, your full of s*** I dont believe you.

If you dont understand that scenario I cant help you. But that is what you did here to GSR.

the thing that looks like a muffler is just a straight thru resinator, the other two resinators look like bubbles in the pipe, the 2 cats are behind all of this. i drove my car all day it ripppps loud its awsome, even betten thought with the windows up its nonintrusinve at idle or on the highway

The modern catalytic converters sold by Bassani are round just like that. I'll look up stream for Cat's when my wife brings the car home.

remember earlier in this thread where GSR said it looked like a muffler, but after it was cut out you can plainly see that it was straight through like any other resonator.

I dont know what it is but mufflers can go straight thru also.Im not sure why mazda would use 2 different typs of resonators,Thats not very cost effective.If I had to place a bet I would say its a muffler.

CT, yeah that first resonator looks like a cat, but if you look at the post where i stole the pic from you can see the second cat right infront of that resonator. The pic is of the cat-back. The first cat is stuffed into the downpipe and the second cat is on the mid pipe. Its amazing how many bulges are in the exhaust. But that last thingamajig looks like a muffler, honestly i dont think it really matters, it could be a straight thru muffler but if you can see through it clearly then i would call it a resonator. But lets not get caught up on little words.

Moral of the story no cats were deleted in he making of this exhaust.

yes that last muffler looking thing is completely str8 thru, just like the 2 resonators in front of it.
