Decisions Decisions

MBC and HKS SSQV.

EBCs arent quite as prone to Boost spike, but no matter what they try to do, youre still modifying the signal to the wastegate which is what ultimately controls boost. If the wastegate cant keep up, which, our crappy internal one cant, then youre going to get a boost spike until it does catch up.
Also, the design of our turbo is for fast spool, which also worsens the problem since you go from no boost to full boost very quickly.

What to buy:

Electronic Boost Controller
Manual Boost Controller
Blow Off Valve

Hmmmmm opinons ? Comments ? Reasons for answers please.
MBC is the more accurate and reliable. Blow off valves are useless.

EBC - But get a version that operates two solenoids. when setup correctly an EBC is FAR better than an MBC and it will control/protect/warn boost spikes.

Thanks for the opinions guys, I'm done reading this because now it's in the wrong section. More forum nazis at work. Again thanks for the responses. Not sure why it took 12 posts to be finally moved to the "proper" place.

Excellent, and I guess you can still just pull out the soliniod before dealership trips.
