Deciding between toyo proxes 4 and falken zeix 512

i wouldnt buy either, myself and my friends probably have had almost every performance tire on the market, im goin got agree on what topher said, very good tire and not that bad on tread life, i have kdw2 and they are pretty good.

All seasons on a msp would be a downgrade. You know that, right? If you're in the bay area you can get away with summer tires all year long.

i have the yokohama prada spec 2's on the mp3...they lasted about a year...the only problem with these sticky tires is they get louder and louder. the prada's sound like 4wd truck tires right now.

The ES100s are good tires, but they are louder as far as road noise, and they last about two years with mild autocrossing. Kumho just came out with a new tire that got very good ratings in tire rack testings and beat out the ES100s. General tire (I would usually not even mention them) also just came out with a new UHP Summer tire that got ratings just a bit under the ES100s. The General's around around $80 a piece, the Kumho's are around $90, and the ES100s are around $100 a piece.

If you really want an all season tire, go for the Proxes4. They were highly recommended all-season on the Lancer forum (evolutionm.net). You can get them for a good price at www.edgeracing.com, but they are out of stock right now.

EDIT: ^^^ they are NOT out of stock as of this morning.

KDW or G-Force Sport.

I have Proxes 4's and i live in GA where it never snows so it was a poor choice on my part.

But get KDW and G-Force Sports they are great tires if u don't need the all season capability.

I run the 4's and I enjoy them very much. I autocross on them and I run -2.5/f -1.5/r camber. I have not noticed excessive wear. The tires are predictable in corners, they take a nice set and stay there, whereas the stocks would hop or slide without as much warning because the sidewall was so much stiffer. The 4's are quieter, and cheaper as well. I have found them for $88 each for the 215/45/17. Treadwear is 300, not as soft as the Azenis or the Kumho MX, but pretty sticky. I have 6000+ miles on them so far. I placed first in every autocross event I entered last year in STX against Azenis shod WRXs.

I had the KDs on my SRT-4 and didn't care for them much. I was going to switch to the 4's on it as well.

My brother has the 4's on his Mazda 3 and he is cleaning up in local CSP against R-compound Miatas. Don't ask me how though!
