Dealerships

Its mee again, I took my car in to get looked at and my parents picked it up for me. Heres what happed the service bill was paid for over the phone, and it was picked up that night. When they picked it up they found out the front grill piece was missing. The dealership said that there not resposible for damages or after the bill is paid for. The other wierd part is that they have a front grill in stock???? They are willing to sale it to me. WTF
So im down another part, If anyone has one there willing to sale i'll buy it.
I will have pics of my turbo parts that im willing to sale on the web soon.
Thanks

If you notice any damage following service at the dealer paid for or not, by law they have to prove they did not do the damage. THey should actually be doing walk arounds on every car they take in and make notes of any damage. I would call the dealer and ask for the service manager or the GM and POLITILY explain your situation, it should get resolved at that level.. If not then contact MAzda Corp and go from there.

or you could walk into the dealership and punch one of the technicians in the face........just kidding

I don't know how Mazda works, but it might be the same as Toyota. I got some poor service at my local Toyota dealer and after getting nowhere politely I simply asked them for the 1-800 number for Toyota's national customer service. The first time, I called that 1-800 number and within 10 minutes I got a call back from the service department at the dealership (they had been contacted by National) with a better offer. The second time at a different dealership just my mentioning calling that number made them drop $600 off a $900 repair bill that hadn't fixed a problem.

You gotta' have a legit case for this to work. If you do, it works wonders with Toyota. Hopefully with Mazda too.

Peace,
