Anyone else have their car dealers no longer carrying Mazda? We've had two out of the three local dealers that carried Mazda have dropped them. Course one dealer is a complete POS and I won't go there ever again, so I not sure its any loss....

Just makes me wonder what's up when multiple dealerships stop carrying a brand.....

mazda is pushing thier franchisees to open what they call single-point stores. they offer more incentives and capital cash if they start up or switch mazda over to its own building. i know here they have been making life very hard for the mulitline dealer because they refuse to switch.

Interesting. The dealer closest to our house just stopped selling and servicing Mazdas, and it was a multiline dealer. Very convenient because it was a mile from our house. Now we have to go much further for service and start a relationship with an entirely new dealer further away, and I wasn't quite as impressed with them when taking the 5 in for an oil change.

I'm hoping that doesn't mean they'll be difficult when I ask them to look at the dashboard popping noise next time...but they already shrugged at me when I asked them to look at the squeaking suspension ('course, it was 20 degrees F that morning, and the car doesn't squeak at that temp).

Names if possible ? I'm on your side of Ca. and it would help us other NorCal owners. If you want, you can PM me the dealership names.
thanks

its no secret. Fairfield Ford (they suck bigtime) and the Vacaville Honda (never been there) dealer both used to carry Mazda. Now neither do. The Honda dealer dropped them a while ago, and the Ford dealer dropped them recently.

Weird.. the Mazda dealership in my hometown added dodge to their portfolio.. granted, they did it a few years back, but yeah since then they actually have moved the dodge shop to a building across the street from the Mazda stuff.

but don't go there.. Modern Motors Mazda is awful.

I hope the multiline (Audi/Porsche/Mazda) dealership here doesn't drop Mazda.. I have no clue where the next closest one is, it could easily be an hour away in Buffalo

Whoa, here in canada (canada) (QC particularly) we have no such things as multiline dealers (scratch) ... Every dealers have only one brand, apart maybe for the GM lines (Chevy / Saturn / GMC). The only thing is that they tend to gather together as magnets, of course. So in Montreal there are like dealers "spots" where sometimes an entire street segment is dedicated to dealers...

The only good dealer close to me just closed, and it was the only mazdaspeed certified dealer in the area. I'm really glad I didn't buy that MS6 I was looking at, or I'd have to drive an hour away to get service.

Our only Mazda dealer on Cape Cod bailed as well. It was part of a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealership.

! Cape Cod Ford Lincoln Mercury Mazda?? I bought my car there :'(

Guess I can't call them and ask why they scammed me on my extended warranty now. le sigh

*puts my cape cod mazda license plate frame on ebay now that it's rare*

we have places like that too, called automalls. Becoming the real in thing. All the dealers in town recently moved to the same street and the city renamed the street automall parkway.
