Dealer charging for PCM/TCM updates?

Mazda phone line was busy and non operative throughout day. Upon getting in line queue, was on hold for 30 minutes , representative picked up and asked and asked about issues then as I spoke, there was no response, line was still connected she just didn't speak and pretended she couldn't hear me. I left on hold for several minutes at which time she finally hung up. I then sent email to Mazda CC. Yep, If this is how things go, I'll be returning to Ford products but at a new dealership as well.

There are very few dealerships that treat the customer well.

Sadly the best dealership was when I lived in another state. They serviced under warranty, didn't try to upcharge you but told you the benefits of certain add ons which weren't' way overpriced, and treated the customer with honesty and respect.
And I bought stuff there because of that.
Not too many dealerships around like that.
