DEAD Msp

MaZdAsPeEd PrOtEgE, BROKEN
they other day I was so fortunate as to blow my engine. Big deal if my dealership wasn't such jerks. I had my car towed in and turned into service where they had me wait for a good hour, hour and half something like that. Well an hour later they tell me that they would have to call mazda to get approval, and that I would have till wait till monday to find out. I have 15110 miles on this car I have had it since late late august. I have had two oil changes on it one early and one at 8490 miles (synthetic oil) the dealership is telling me that there is a large chance mazda will not replace the engine under warranty because my oil change wasn't done at 5000 miles with regular oil. Now I am not sure I don't know much about cars I have talked with a few mechanics and they said that, that little miles over the limit would not cause 2 rods to break and something else. Does anyone have any information for me that could help if you do please send it to me. here or e-mail (alreadyfellout@hotmail.com) or on aol (alreadyfellout).
I just want to get all my ducks in a row so I can shoot them the big F-U and have them fix my car. If I have to go to the BBB no problem. My dealership is notorious for this problem. hell they called mazda to get approval on my rotors when they warped at 6000 miles. the most I got for my car is a greddy turbo timer thats not even installed.

Thanks

And your motor just blew up? They are trying to cut corners..When you had your oil changed is not up to them to decide..Just because they didn't do it doesn't mean your warranty is voided. Good luck

a faulty engine from the assembly line...no mods huh....dude tell to sftu and fix your sheet or youll get medieval on there ASS.

if they do make it be not covered under warranty, don't have that dealership rebuild it. take it to a reputable builder and have them put forged stuff in, you'll save money, and it won't go towards those assholes at the dealership

or have it towed to the next-closest Mazda dealership

wait, so after 8500 miles you had 0 oil changes all the way to 15k miles? Thats about 6500 miles on the same oil in a turbocharged car...thats very bad. If you look at the oil in a turbo car, it usually starts to get bad after about 2800(estimate) miles. I change my oil every 2.5k miles just to be safe.

Most likely they will get approval to fix it. They asked me the same questions about oil changes when I blew mine, even asked for receipts. I didn't have any, but it was fixed anyway.

They should definitely fix it. The oil changes you mentioned would definitely not cause the engine to blow assuming they were done properly. If they resist, definitely fight it as much as possible.

What were the conditions under which it blew? Temp, gear, load, etc.

they will replace it. the oil would still be o.k. it's detergents woould be gone but it would still be lubricating the motor plenty.
when you blew it were you reving the s*** out of it cold or something?

guys he already said no mods other than a TT that is not even installed. even if he does have an mbc he sure as hell shouldn't post it here. and as for the oil going bad at 2500 is horse s***. i waited it 4k on one of mine and the syn oil was not black yet.

fellout hope works out well for you. let us know how it goes.

Yes but with synthetic the oil will be fine even in a turbo car. I only run Mobil One with WIX filters and I would go longer than 5000 miles if I did not want to get s*** from Mazda. So for now under warranty the oil comes out every 5k so I won't have any trouble from them. If you really want to know about oil go over and hang out with the Audi guys there are a few chemical engineers over there that work for the oil companies and they have the most amazing FAQ on oil you could ever find. It covers viscosity, thermal sheer, weights, and synthetic -vs- mineral etc.

2 oil changes within 15k miles is not smart regardless of synthetic or not...
Mazda should cover it I think, but I don't blame them for saying that the car was not taken care of...
