DDM Tuning Apexcone Raptor HID Kit - $30 plus shipping

hey matt
where do i get that grease? just at home depot or an auto place

plus i wonder if i ordered mine yesterday when it said slim with 1 year warranty or larger with lifetime. i guess ill see when they get here

Edit: Jack Rot, just called them to change my order, but it had already been processed so just give them another ring! people are there

i just called as well...they said they have to cancel the order and i have to replace it, just to change the damn bulb color (squinty), anyways, i did it. 5k FTW!!!

wait could i cancel mine then and replace it?

edit: called back and im outta luck. bah! 6k for me then

i wanted the 6k for the faint blue tint since i got the blue p5, but once i saw matt saying that they are lousy in the rain, it made me want 5's. ill just get some bright yellow fogs eventually

They really aren't lousy, it's just that the more blue you go the less you will see, especially in bad weather. Pretty much anything that isn't yellow will diminish in the rain.

yea i'd like some HID fogs, that'd be nice, but i want real yellow, even though mine have the yellow lens

So lemme get this straight basically (most likely) I should be fine without the battery harness, and just everything included in the kit. But the battery harness would be one of those "just in case" kind of things

I can say that the 6k bulbs kind of suck in the rain, but with the Fet Catz SRs I have for my driving lights, it's not so bad anymore. I'm considering ordering a set of 3000K or 4500K bulbs to see how I like them.

Alright, cool, now the only other things I'm wondering are:
1.) How do you remove rock blockers off your fog lights (blow dryer?)
2.) How simple is the fog light bulb to remove and reinstall the hid?

I'm planning on removing the whole front bumper with the swap because #1 I don't wanna scuff up the passenger side bulb, and #2 I'm planning on buying new headlights.

I just replaced one of my fog light bulbs and the glass lens comes off, you have to remove it to replace the bulb anyway.

super easy to remove both 1. and 2.
i used a blowdryer and got the vinyls off in like a couple minutes.

as for the bulb its extremely simple.
when you look behind the bumper you'll see it right away, just jack up the front and then you'll see how simple it is.

no you dont...you take the bulb out through the back... :/ i never knew the lenses could come off either...

So am I taking the lense off, or taking it out of the back?
And do these hids need to be modded in anyway to fit for it is set straight out of the box

I took mine completely apart the one time they were off the car. Opened the lenses up to clean them & remove pieces of glass from rock hits while I siliconed the little holes on the outside of the lense. Unless removing the shroud thing, you shouldn't have to do more than remove the bulb from the back as was stated..........I'd have to bust out with the unchipped spare set of fogs iffin I was gonna go with HIDs tho, just for complete fresh start. Figure if I leave the chipped ones on the car as long as they keep water out of them & keep working, nothing else will happen to them. Put the new ones on & chip magnet will occur.
