Yes, magic was getting very stale for many years. This new generation is very talented and bringing a lot of fresh ideas. I greatly prefer the "on the street" style then the huge Vegas style shows of making a jet disappear.

BTW,I am not saying the it's actual magik,not magic.I am saying this may,or may not be how it's done,just like the chris angel explanation of how to levatate,it is one way of doing it,but unless it is said for certain that this is how Blain does it, then it's just a possibility

Here's what Penn says. Blane and his camera crew go out on the street and perform some cool tricks. Blane is an excellent sleight of hand magician and can do amazing stuff right before your eyes. However, some of the tricks are simply impossible and are accomplished for TV with video editing. For example, there's no way Blane can text a perfect stranger's cell phone with a message that answers what card their holding. It's a setup. It's explained by the fact that people will do anything to be on TV. They simply ask the people on the street to play along with the act and tell them that if they do, they're guaranteed to be shown on TV. Most people will do that no problem.

Well several magic stores sell a prop set up that you rig to perform levitations like david blane. They say it takes some time to set up the prop and i think you hide it in your pant leg and you can only do it once then you have to set it up again. Also the whole Criss Angel (however he spells his name) is just too uneleivable for me, like walking up a wall and stuff like that. I just don't by it. However I saw Copperfield live also, and that guy is amazing. His stage magic is no slight of hand thats for sure, some serious planning went into his stuff.
