Dave Navone convertor or, new deck

Hello, I like the look of the factory radio, I was wondering if anyone has heard what those fancy dave Navone converters sound like with an amplifier. I plan on getting a 4 channel-bridging 2 channels to a sub, and using the other 2 for front separates. The wiring I suppose would have to go from the amp to the wiring harness in the dash, eh? And from there to the doors?

Thx!!!

knowing the legacy of Dave Navone I am sure you would be very pleased with the outcome. I'm sure you wouldn't notice the difference between an aftermarket head unit as compared to the OEM head with his adapter hooked up. If you get it, let us know our pesonal opinion. I thought about it b/c the in-dash 6-dsk changer is kind of nice. Too bad it isn't mp3/wma capabale...

I personally like aftermarket HU's way better. They have more options, pick up more stations, and you dont have to use convertors. If you use them to power speakers they have more power. And they are going to sound better. I think they look nice if they are installed right.

Far as Dave Navone's stuff I have never heard of it.

I have heard of it, but not much about. Mostly I have heard he has the best convertors to use. I guess I meant to say I have never heard one used. Sorry bout that.

i've used a bunch of the cheap LOC's, and i finally got to install one of these:

that's an awesome unit, and i HIGHLY recomend it:D you would never know the guy was using a stock HU. it's a bit pricey, but if you don't plan on getting a new HU, then this is the way to go;)

DeanSweet, richard clark and david navone aren't a common name outside of competitors anymore:( over on carsound they are very well known, but that's cause they each have their own section. don't feel old, though, as i've met richard, and i'm only 22:p think of it as well refined;)
