:wtf: just purchased a filter for my msp and i think i have some lag now i dont know what the problem is if its the filter or the temp guage i had to take off and let dangle. If anybody has put just a filter and left tubing stock in there msp 03.5 let me know what you think..... or anybody

did you just replace the stock air box with a cone filter? if so, do some searches and you'll find out you actually LOSE power with that setup since the fan now blows hot air directly on to the filter. you'll have to move the filter away from that fan, either by a sri or cai.

what if i put the bottom of the box back on and leave the top exposed and keep the new filter

ummmm, maybe. seriously though, just save up the money for the injen or get someone to make a sri for you. i sat around for about a month trying to figure out a way to "cheat" with some kind of off the shelf intake my friends and i could make....just buy one.
