The body shop I used to work at used that aircraft paint stripper. It only takes about 15-30 mins to get right down to the mteal like that. Probably less, because the yellow Protege's are only a single-stage paint. I'd be more worried about rust. It eats the galvanized coating off of all the steel, so now you won't have that in those areas. As long as the body shop grinds into the metal just a touch, and then prime's within 24 hours, it will seal it. I'm sure they know what they're doing of course...

Holy ****!!! I just saw this for the first time. Glad to hear you're getting the car back. Be sure to post pics!!

Who's dad in your neighborhood works on airplanes? Find him, and you'll find those little rats. I don't think kids just go out and pickup some aircraft paint removal at the cornerstore.

you can buy it at wal mart or auto zone places like that body shops use it
Damn...That sux. I didn't know that. I'd still be surprised if someone, especially kids, went out of their way to buy the stuff, just to vandalize people's property. It's probably something some kid's Dad has sitting around the garage, or tool shed.

...just a hunch. Know of any pilot's or mechanics near you?

I say again, how do you know it was kids? What age bracket? Or is this assumed?

Don't know it was....not assuming anything; just sounds pretty typical for the type of s*** kids get into, unless this guy pissed off the wrong people. I'm not trying to CSI the crime scene...it's just conjecture my friend.

Sorry to see your nice car trashed up like that. Karma is going to come back and hit the person/people who did that to your car and it's going to hit them hard.

It will because I know there are others out there that hunt those that prey on others. Karma is as Karma does & it's very rewarding to help it along.

and this is what my post was about last page. You ******* steryotype kids. Maybe a guy was cutoff at alight a few days earlier and he remembered the bright orange paint and wanted revenge, or an enemy. It could be a number of things reguardless of statistics this pisses me off. you're way too quick to rationalize.

Easy buddy; try not to take my post too seriously. No need to get all huffy. If it was kids, then it was kids. If not, then it wasn't. Doesn't really matter. Sux either way. If you could detect my sarcastic "tone"...ie. "Those pesky kids"(said in a grumpy "old man" voice..oops sorry, did I stereotype grumpy old men?)...then you might not have taken it so seriously.

I knew that was air craft paint stripper from the second I seen it I always thought if that stuff was in the wrong hands it would really suck. That stuff burns like a b**** too if you get it on you and the smell will make you light headed lol. Sorry bout your ride man I hope whoever did it gets what they deserve.
