damn 10 off msrp for evo Xs

That is a 2008 model, it's almost time for 2010 models to start rolling in, so effectively it is 1.5-2 years old.

10k off is just barely covering depreciation on a 2 year old vehicle.

2010 havent come out yet and there are no 09's so if you want one you have to buy 08 right now.

I got sucked into something like this at a local Ford dealership. There's ALWAYS a catch.

At a car dealership there is always a catch. there is a vin number on there, that means there is only one at that price. And what do you know, when you get there it is gone. That is just a way to get you there. Most people will leave but maybe 1 out of 50 will buy one anyways. That is worth it to them. Trust me i used to sale them. (Dont hate me)

Man, I've had my car for 4 months and this pops up. I'm searching all dealerships in the mid-atlantic region...

theres quite a few dealers doing this promotion now

here's another one just posted

if i can get kbb for my ms3 trade-in, i'll be picking one up this week, gonna check it out tomorrow after work as the dealership called yet again and said they would even beat the deals i've shown them.

Hmm, and how are you getting it from Daytona to So Cal? No dealer in their right mind would want that transferred in. You would be stuck making arrangements to get it here.

i'm not getting it from daytona to socal,
i emailed all the mitsu dealers within a 100 mile radius and 2 have said they would price match/beat that deal

1 is carriage mitsubishi, the other is south coast mitsubishi.

plenty of people in norcal are buying them for 25 + TTL from serramonte mitsubishi, you are using the ads to show the dealers the deal so they can match as opposed to word of mouth

Just got a response from a dealer in NJ about 10K off + 0% financing. I didn't even mention CA to him, but here is the response:

"The Lancer Evolution models we have (we have three) DO qualify for the 0% interest. Unfortunately, the misnomer of a $10,000 rebate is untrue, it is primarily propagated by dealerships via somewhat deceptive advertising (mostly out of California).

I could always lie to you, and say "yes, come on in"... but we don't work that way. That may be why we are Diamond certified..."

Interesting...

so i got more info, its 10k off including 500 dollar military and 500 dollar mitsubishi owner loyalty, so the dealer said 9k off (if non military and don't have a mitsubishi now) + 0% financing if you qualify for it. awesome :)

yeah they keep calling me too. its getting really tempting. only about 100 more a month than im paying now. and i would get to walk away from my MS3. i hate this. dont know what to do.

Evo X are everywhere, dnt get it.. besides with an exhaust nd intake ull beat em

i havent seen any evo X's around, maybe 1-2 total.

and for $500 you can get the vishnu PROceed that bumps it up 75hp, 75torque and run 12.7 in the 1/4 mile

it's gonna take a lot of work/tuning/money to make the ms3 run 12.7

i will miss the functionality of a hatch back but damn this is so tempting, im going to the dealer after work today, see what happens (drinks)

what dealer are you going too? and is it a GSR with the SSS package?

Fairfield mitsubishi had a similar 10K off MSRP type deal back in February but you had to find your own financing. Is that the case now or can you still get 0% financing from them?

I might go test drive one tomorrow too...

I def. wont be getting Mits. Owner Loyal Discount!(evil)

If you're looking to get the most hp and performance from your car, then you should definetly go with the Evo X. Although they are not as fast as the older versions (researched the evo forums as I was leaning toward purchasing one before I found the MS3), it'll have more aftermarket parts and potential for putting down more power than the MS3. The AWD feature is also a plus. I drove an 02 modded WRX before and having AWD was awesome during rainy commutes.

I live in the Bay Area and have only spotted 1 Evo X so far.
