Daily-Driven big turbo MSP Build up

I'm very interested about the MS and would like to keep me up date about your msp yellerandahalf !!!!

I see you recomended to buy it asembled .... DO you have any knowledge in electronic ??

yellerandahalf are u going to up the boost and get it tuned? Not trying to flame u but,

in my opinion running a T3 at 10psi on a built block with ems is a waste of money.

well if hes scared of the tranny breaking then i thik hes smart, some ppl can afford to break things

boost is up to 15psi daily, with very gentle driving to try to keep drivetrain components intact. I'm working with Steve at NSN to come up with something stronger in the tranny/diff department to run more boost safely. This car is primarily being built as a track day car, intended to stomp race vettes and the like, and be driven daily on the side. Quite the mountain to climb, if you ask me! It's making 240whp at 15psi, last time I dynoed. That was with fuel being managed by the MS, and timing being managed by the stock computer (been swamped, haven't had time to implement the MS timing gear). I'll be going to 20psi soon, then it's game on you V8 people. And no, unfortunately I'm not able to afford breaking things. another update soon.

I sometimes forget that my 260+ at slightly under 13 is a good number... too obsessed with more! I also forgot you are forged as I'm like.. this dude is crazy running that much boost on a stock motor! LOL...

I got my shop press today, so I'll be popping the gear towers apart and getting the new gears checked over and getting the billets going... so we'll see what that all yields! My goal for next year is to break 2-3 transmissions... I want to see how much each variation can take :) I should be running 24-26 psi this spring with the exhaust fixed... should be fun! :)

keep up the great work man... can't wait to see what you will all achieve as well!

I can't possibly imagine that much power. I figure i'm just shy of 200 whp, and all i do through my first 2 gears is spin the tires if i'm not feathering the throttle. Next on my mod list is a LSD, and then i'm right there with you, game on V8's :)

hell yeah! I'd bet you're farther up there than you think. I thought, by butt dyno, that I wasn't pushing more than 200whp, and i was pushing 240. good luck to you!

new sounds posted! I'm getting rediculous boost creep, so the max boost you'll hear is about 20psi! friggin fast! i shift before it can creep beyond that. The first is a flyby and the second is so you can hear the custom magnaflow exhaust (exhaust iteration #3!).
FlyBy@20psi
Drive_away

custom magnaflow.. I like the way you think (it's what I have... 3" piping to a 3" race series straight muffler..)

OK, boost creep is getting nasty. I had it at 15psi for a while. As far as i know, it was a steady 15psi, with no creep. I dyno tuned at this pressure. recently, as it has gotten colder, I took out the boost controller, intending to run 10psi. The first time i put in the turbo it displayed some creep, starting at 10, holding until 5k, then rising past 15, where I'd let off. But it was very slow. And it doesn't seem to happen with the controller in(as far as I can tell). Recently, it's worse. it creeps hard, and more quickly, but still holds till 4.5k. Perhaps my actuator is going bad? Any ideas why this might be happening?

what turbo do you have? It sounds like your wastegate bore is not large enough... the improved CFM from the cold weather is causing too much exhaust gases to be present and the turbo can't effectively vent it through the wastegate so it goes the next easiest route.. the turbine... leading to your creep.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that. balls. Looks like i need to port the wastegate. It's a t3 super 60, with the standard internal wastegate. I thought this wastegate was supposed to be good to 350bhp?

EDIT: isn't this wastegate bigger than the GT25R? and it doesn't have creep issues.

how is your exhaust coming off the wastegate? do you know what bore it is? It coule be your controller.. do you have an EBC???

easiest way to figure out if your internal wg actuator is shot is blow into the signal line. you shouldn't be able to blow any air into the can. i know this because my actuator is dead...

Keep in mind that a 16G wastegate is supposedly adequate by design... but they all creep like mofo's.

I have a JoeP MBC, no EBC here (poor), and I have no idea what the bore of the wastegate is. I've seen ported versions for sale on ebay, so I know it can be done. I guess I should get it off and check it out. what a pain.
