The windshield and frame were 32 lbs! A good 'nother chunk gone :)
And thanks. I think it looks awesome :D

now the roll bar looks even higher. lol

I disagree, but I suppose it's all matter of perspective (shrug)

Tonight I got the bodywork hung in earnest (as opposed to just having it mocked up yesterday for a couple pics):

And put together an intake (trimmed the hose as needed, positioned the filter where I wanted it, etc). Nothing fancy, but it will get the job done.

I also picked up something to make my life a little easier. It's nothing great, but the price was ridiculous (usually you can get a 1.5 gallon compressor for what I got this for) and it will serve my purposes just fine (airing up tires, air gun, maybe a leak down test should the need arise...)

So... you cut the windshield... and Dave has a Coke in his hand. You're in the south! I thought you required at least 4 beers before that type of work is done. ;)

Naa, with power tools at play, we left the beer for afterwards ;).

Mahk, Bruce, I'll let you know. I'm going to try and make it up to the Mitty one day, and / or have a get-together the other at my place. We'll see, no promises yet.

Busy day. Stopped by Korey's shop where he got the street tires swapped for the Hoosier wets. I also dropped my differentials off with him to have him swap the torsen into the 4.3:1 open diff I had layin' around, so now I have the pieces from a 4.1:1 diff with a toasted pinion bearing, an open 1.8L differential, and a 4.3:1 Torsen. Only 1 of these I care about...

Also, this showed up today:

Which should make my life a little easier (or at least cheaper in the long run. By a lot.)

They don't absolutely have to be. If it were 1 solid rig, they would, but since you can adjust each rod within the hangar, you can square up the sides which is what you're really interested in. Whether or not the front and rear sides of the "square" are perfect doesn't really play a part.

Had a pretty nice day. The boys gave Jen and I an 8 hour stretch of sleep last night for the first time (YEAAAAAA BOOIIIIEEEE!!!) last night, so we both I guess had a bit more energy. Her to watch the boys solo for the day, me to work on the car for a few hours. And progress was made!

Swapped the Racing Beat header, Magnaflow cat and stock O2 sensor out for my Maxim Works header, Enthuza Car test-pipe and Innovate WBO2 sensor. I secured the WBO2 controller and re-ran the wiring for the controller to the ECU, and mounted the Megasquirt ECU in the location Kevin designed under the cowl, to try and keep it out of the weather as much as possible (it will be even more protected once I have a dash fabbed up)

Video to come :)

Czech it!

Yeah, the video is kinda crap, but you get the idea. I think it sounds awesome, and I love the throaty intake noises from the intake :D. The video doesn't really do any of it justice, it never does, but it's good enough to get the point across ;)
