anyone have any experience or information on how to do these things? i found a guy who can "smoke" out my tail lights, but is that the only way? well i also found on ebay a film DIY set which i do not want to do, requires skill, patience, and a hairdryer haha. and the legality of these things (im back and forth btwn arizona and new york)?

my car:

thanks for you help and thoughts in advanced,

My friend did the same thing to his audi and many other cars, he just uses a taillight tint spray from autozone (rustoleum or krylon not sure which one). Remove the taillight housings and spray evenly until desired darkness( i know you said you dont have patience, maybe you know someone who can spray paint decently well and you can have them try it. If you make an error acetone works great at removing the spray. many cars in my area have done it this way, and none have reported their taillights as a reason for a ticket or warning, so as long as you can see through them when you put signals and brake lights on you should be fine. (also the third brake light helps to leave red.
If thats not what you wanted to hear I apologize but im not sure of other ways.
Good luck

now my next endeavor is HID lights!

Looks good, now you need to tint/black out the red reflectors and flying M emblem, and remove the CX-7 emblem. Nightshades is cheap and sells at most stores, even walmart I believe.

nice! where'd you get those tail lights from?

niteshades is great for blacking out the reflectors (i did on my speed6), just be warned that its essentailly REALLY runny spray paint, so use with that in mind.

thanks man! this 'nightshade' term is new to me. is this essentially what was done to my taillights? i took it to a guy who charged me $40 a light, not bad. also how can i remove the emblem without making it look super obvious. i mean it have a circular/oval indentation around the flying M :/

as far as the cx-7 emblem, i heard floss and a blow dryer will do the trick. will it? or is there a better way?
