actually the FWD should do better than the 7.5-7.9, 0-60 times I've seen in various magazines. The AWD system is almost always slower than a FWD or RWD version of the same vehicle. It's something to do with the way it uses the horsepower/torque and plus the AWD system adds weight to the car. It's usually a significant difference so I would be inclined to believe that those msn values are all inaccurate or AWD values.
