cx5 halogen housing vs tech xenon headlamps

Hi guys,

I had a question is there any difference between the halogen and the xenon headlamp housings? for example i'd imagine they are both plug and play, but what about the plugs to the headlights? is there a difference or could i technically just buy some new xenon headlamps and drop them in buy bulbs and ballast and everything is good to go? or am i oversimplifying things and there is more involved? any advice or feedback would be awesome.

Assemblies are different. I'm not sure how the wiring harnesses are on the CX-5s but on the 3 it isn't plug and play. Completely different wiring harnesses including everything for the AFS system. You could probably get it to work but it won't be cheap and you likely won't have a working AFS.
