I own a 2019 Mazda CX-30 Skyactiv-X, always serviced at an official Mazda dealer in Spain.
Recently, the Data Communication Module (DCM) failed, even though I’ve never used any of the connected services (MyMazda app, remote functions, etc.). The dealer quoted €1,700 for replacement.
This seems like a premature failure of an electronic component that should last the lifetime of the vehicle, especially since it hasn’t been used.
I’ve already filed a formal complaint with Mazda Spain, asking them to cover the full cost.
Has anyone here had a similar issue with the DCM or eCall system on the CX-30? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
