CX-90 Mi-Drive Towing Mode with 56494 CURT T-Connector question

Hi everyone, new to CX-90 Preferred Plus, just installed my hitch and Curt wiring harness, hooked up the trailer and have not had the towing mode pop up on MI DRIVE. Has anyone experienced this? Not sure if I need the OEM harness for it to detect the trailer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

@KCC727 Pretty sure you won't see the Mi Drive tow mode appear on a 4-Way plug type. In dealing with Mazda on a similar issue they were very particular about the wiring harness. I bet you would have better luck with a 9-pin harness setup. One thing Mazda did pass along for ease of mind is that if it does detect a trailer hooked up it will disable/enable the proper safety related functions for towing.
